Tiebreaker Procedure
TWO-TEAM TIE
- Results of head-to-head competition during the regular season.
- Point differential.
- Points allowed.
- Coin flip.
MULTIPLE-TEAM TIE
- Results of head-to-head competition during the regular season.
- When comparing records against a single team or a group of teams, the higher winning percentage shall prevail, even if the number of games played against the team or group are unequal (i.e. 2-0 is better than 3-1); in the case of tied percentages vs. the group of 1.000 or 0.000 the following shall apply: 2-0 is better than 1-0; 0-1 is better than 0-2.
- If two teams are tied for the top position, the two-team tiebreaker is applied.
- After the top team(s) among the tied teams are determined, the remaining teams will apply the two-team or multiple-team tiebreaker.
- If the teams are still tied, the following tiebreakers will be applied.
