ABOUT NFFLA
The National Flag Football League of Atlanta's mission has been to provide the LGBTQIA+ communities and straight allies, across all genders, an opportunity to meet and compete without fear of discrimination. The NFFLA is committed to providing these individuals the opportunity to participate in flag football competitions at the local and national level for more than 20 years.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
NFFLA is led by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. Board activities including meetings, roles and responsibilities, and elections are governed by the bylaws.

Commissioner
NATHANE DAVIS III (HE/HIM)
The Commissioner of the National Flag Football League of Atlanta (NFFLA) serves as the chief executive of the league, responsible for ensuring the successful operation, growth, and integrity of the organization. This role requires strategic leadership, collaboration with Board members, and oversight of key league functions, all while promoting a culture of fairness, inclusivity, and sportsmanship in alignment with the mission and vision of the NFFLA.

Assistant Commissioner
THURMAN WILLIAMS (HE/HIM)
The Assistant Commissioner is a senior executive role within the National Flag Football League of Atlanta (NFFLA), providing strategic support to the Commissioner while overseeing travel team operations and broader league initiatives. This position ensures accountability among directors, manages travel team logistics, and represents the league in national discussions. Additionally, the Assistant Commissioner chairs the Travel Committee (TC), ensuring the success of Atlanta’s travel teams through effective planning, communication, and execution.

Director of Fiance
LAURA LITSAS (SHE/HER)
The Director of Finance serves as an Executive Board Member of the National Flag Football League of Atlanta (NFFLA) and is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the league. This role ensures financial transparency, compliance with nonprofit regulations, and strategic management of funds. The Director of Finance works closely with the Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner to align financial planning with the league’s strategic goals while maintaining accountability for registration, budget management, and game day logistics.

Director of Sponsorship
RICHIE "KEITH" WALKER (HE/HIM)
The Director(s) of Sponsorship & Events are responsible for securing sponsorships, maintaining sponsor relationships, and organizing league events that foster community engagement. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the financial sustainability and visibility of the league by developing partnerships with corporate, nonprofit, and city organizations. Additionally, the Directors oversee event planning to create meaningful experiences for players, sponsors, and supporters.

CAREY SHERRELL (HE/HIM)
The Director(s) of Sponsorship & Events are responsible for securing sponsorships, maintaining sponsor relationships, and organizing league events that foster community engagement. Director of Captains & Player Development

The Director of Captains & Player Development is responsible for identifying, mentoring, and supporting team leadership while fostering player growth within the league. This role plays a key part in recruiting captains and quarterbacks who exemplify leadership and sportsmanship, overseeing the draft process, and organizing developmental opportunities for players. Additionally, the Director of Captains & Player Development ensures game day logistics are efficiently managed and facilitates seasonal award nominations and voting.

The Director of Recruitment & Outreach is responsible for expanding the league’s reach by developing and executing recruitment strategies that attract players of all skill levels. This role focuses on fostering community engagement, building partnerships, and promoting NFFLA participation through targeted outreach efforts. The WTNB Liaison is specifically responsible for outreach and engagement within the Women, Trans, and Non-Binary (WTNB) community to ensure an inclusive and welcoming environment.
The Director of Recruitment & Outreach is responsible for expanding the league’s reach by developing and executing recruitment strategies that attract players of all skill levels. This role focuses on fostering community engagement, building partnerships, and promoting NFFLA participation through targeted outreach efforts. The Open Gender Liaison focuses on recruiting players across all gender identities.

The Director of Operations and Logistics is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of league operations, communications, and logistical needs. This role plays a vital part in maintaining organization-wide efficiency by overseeing season calendars, managing communication platforms, and ensuring all game day and player essentials are in place. The Director of Operations and Logistics works closely with Board members, captains, referees, and players to support a well-structured and organized league environment.
